Founded by Aldo Cibic in the late eighties, Cibic Workshop is one of the best-known Italian architecture and design firms. The Workshop has worked in many parts of the world for over thirty years.

The studio works on projects of a diverse nature ranging from architecture to interiors, design, and multimedia, up to environmental development, new services and concepts. The Workshop is a structure that includes a group of architects, interior designers, graphic and product designers, and enjoys the services of a network of international collaborators from a variety of professional backgrounds.

Cibic Workshop collaborates on an ongoing basis with an international network of universities, research centres and business incubators for the development of new methods of design.

Since 2020, Cibic Workshop has had an office in Shanghai, creating meaningful and culturally relevant objects, spaces and communities, both public and private, through addressing the issues we see as most important to society today.

Cibic Workshop are looking to hire a designer to join our Shanghai team.

We are looking for talented, design driven individuals to play a key role within our team. You should be a graduate of architecture or design and have a minimum of one to two years of work experience post-graduation.

All candidates should have a strong commitment to design, excellent technical and project management skills, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment. The role includes running projects daily and leading design teams with clarity and attention to detail. The candidate would be reporting directly to the company directors, and a proactive, confident, can-do attitude is essential.

Candidates can expect to work on a wide range of projects such as private houses, eco-farms, offices, exhbitions and furniture design.

@ Interior Designer

Responsibilities:
• design and delivery of projects in all stages, from concept to completion
• daily running of projects with direct client correspondence
• time management of projects
• coordination with design team and consultants
• liaising with contractors and overseeing works on-site

Professional skills:
• minimum one to two years post-graduation experience.
• excellent design and spatial planning skills
• time management skills and highly organised working methods
• preferable if candidate has experience of international projects
• confident communicator
• excellent written and spoken English

Software skills:
• advanced knowledge of Sketchup highly preferable
• advanced knowledge of CAD highly preferable
• good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign
• good knowledge of Microsoft Office (mainly Word and Excel)
• good knowledge of Enscape or other rendering software
